Looks like an early spring in the Real estate market!

In the housing market, the Spring (mid-April to late-June) is considered the busy season.  This year things seem to be shaping up for a very early spring.  With the home buyer tax credit benefiting many first time buyers as well as current homeowners wanting a change ending at the end of April, the spring frenzy seems to be starting already.

January is usually a time for sellers to start thinking about getting their homes ready to put on the market, buyers start browsing on CBPREMOVES.com and agents make plans for how they can better help both.  That didn’t happen this January, instead buyers were actually not only contacting agents to view homes, they were putting in offers that were accepted.   The only problem is, a lot of sellers aren’t aware of the early spring and don’t realize that the buyers are out there waiting to buy quality homes!

Spring is usually the prime buying and selling season primarily because people with children want them to be able to finish the school year before moving.  The great thing about the tax credit is, as long as you have a contract by April 30th, you don’t have to close till the end of June to still qualify for the credit.

If you’re a homeowner and on the fence about selling or are waiting for the typical spring season, now is the time, there are buyers out there looking for quality homes and those are still hard to find at this point.
